I pack lunches for two kids during the week. I am looking for some more ideas that are healthy. They like PB&J so i tend to pack that a lot. I usually add yogurt, baked chips, fruit chews, fruit. I need some new ideas.

Instead of bread we do wraps sometimes
The 100 calorie packs of cookies or crakers
The 100 pack of rice cacks (they are flavored)
Jello in the bowl made already
garnola bars
muffins
chips the quarter bags

I could keep going but I'll stop there.

My guys like cheese chunks, pretzels, raisins and peanuts, any dried fruits. For main, they also like slices of cheese, lunch meat and crackers (a healthier lunchable), soup, and tortilla wraps. I would love to see what else people suggest!

I just posted this in the open house question. It might be good for you, too.

Here is how you can make sandwiches with toasted bread cups. They are cute and good.

TOAST CUPS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cut away and discard bread crusts. Brush both sides of bread slices with butter.

Gently press each slice of bread into 1 cup of a 6-cup muffin pan. If the bread tears, just press it together in the cup.

Bake for 5-10 minutes

Add whatever you like inside. I have done egg salad, ham, and cheese

DD likes a simple, simple lunch so I have learned not to pack much. She always gets a quarter for milk. That's a start.

She doesn't like sandwiches except 'fish sandwiches' which means tuna or salmon salad. She gets a half sandwich sometimes. Other times she gets a thermos of chicken noodle soup. I'll also send her off to school with a little container of peanut butter. She'll eat that straight. She doesn't like it on bread.

She loves fresh produce so she almost always gets raw cauliflower or carrots. Sometimes she likes to get spinach leaves with blue cheese dressing as a dip - yes, she eats raw spinach leaves like anyone else would eat potato chips. Most of the time she doesn't even want dip.

Then I'll toss in a couple cookies or jello (homemade) and call it good.

She really doesn't want much and she doesn't want a lot of variety.

I pack lots of different stuff for my kids based on what I have on hand and what I find on sale. Here are some sandwiches they like:

Cheese
PB and J
PB and nutella
PB and marshmallow creme
cream cheese and jelly
nutella and marshmallow creme

Not super healthy but I do use whole wheat bread usually and the rest of their lunch includes a lot of fruit.

I don't buy the prepackaged snacks hardly ever. I buy large bags of prezels and spilt it up. Sometimes I send air popped popcorn , usually every weekend I make up a snack for lunches like brownies, rice krispie treats, or jello. I "try" to have a protein , a fruit/vegetable, and a grain in there every day.

We have a nut allergy in our clan, so we don't have the fall back of PB. We do a lot of wraps. Or sandwich meat, cheese with crackers. Veggies, with ranch dressing, fruit, water, leftovers in a thermos, soup, salads with grilled chicken and shredded cheese. I try to cover all the food groups.
