anyone in IN

I am reposting this hoping to get more exposure. I had put it in the introduction page. Let me give a little background. My parents are in their early 60's will be retiring in a few years, but are going to be relocated for my dad's job. Tt looks like Mom and dad may be going to IN, the indianapolis area. but knowing nothing about the area they don't know where to begin looking. they don't want expensive, just a nice area close to things but not right in the city. they want to be around in a community where they can make friends and live out retirement.

so any advice anyone from there that can help me out. some mom's already replied but any more advice appreciated. They don't want to be in a ton of snow but know they will get some, they would also like to avoid nasty humidity if possible. i am posting this because I have no clue what IN weather is like. I am in Omaha, NE area and this is the type of weather they are hoping for. I hope some of this makes sense.

I promised her I would ask for help. so any advice appreciated.

I'm in Southern Indiana so I can't give much advice except that my brother and his wife live in Fishers (just north of Indianapolis) and LOVE it there. They live in a nice subdivision and belong to a very nice church. Neither is from that area (they moved there for my brother's job), but they have made some wonderful friends and have settled in nicely.
