My daughter was playing with a friend yesterday on her bed (I had just taken the sheets off and was in the laundry room) when I heard her scream. She had fallen off the bed (I have told her MANY times not to jump on the bed) and landed on her head and arm. Her wrist didn't seem broken, not swollen, not black and blue, she could bend it so we kept ice on it and elevated it yesterday. She was still complaining this morning, so I took her to the doctor.

He didn't think it was broken, but wanted x-rays to make sure. He called me 2 hours later to let me know she HAD broken it. She has a hairline fracture on her wrist so we are off to get a cast tomorrow. YUCK! Right at swimming season, too. Poor thing. She is only four and it is my first broken bone that is not my own.

Oh how awful!! We've been lucky and never had any broken bones here. Hope it's not hurting her too much.

Poor Laura. I am so sorry Claire. Hope she bounces back (NO pun intended) soon!

I'm sooo sorry! Poor thing! Hopefully she'll only have it on for a few weeks.

I am so sorry, Claire! I know it is a royal pain to deal with this during swimming season.

My kids are jumping on my bed right this very minute as I type this. I am about to go tell them that my friend's little girl just broke her arm doing the same thing yesterday!
