My DH had his procedure today

He was able to have a cardioversion today and they shocked his heart back to natural sinus rhythm. Now they need to determine what caused it to go out of rhythm in the first place. This is a permanent condition and must be managed carefully. He does have the potential to go back into cardiac failure at any time.
It can be managed with medications, diet and exercise. It's not the end of the world, but a new beginning for us.
