Does anyone have anyone famous or infamous in their genealogy either through blood or marriage?

My FIL and my uncle did extensive genealogies and it was fascinating to find out about our family history for both dh and me.

My grandfathers first 2 names was after his great great great uncle. (I think I put the right amount of great's in there) :

His name was Jesse James R. Not sure if I am really proud of that one or not

Or so we were told!

My Grandma was very much into genealogy I am a very distant cousin of Annie Oakley on my dads side!

General E Lee was my Great Great Great Great Grandpa. I think that is the right about of greats... i'm not sure.

My grandmother did lots of genealogy research. I am related to President McKinley by marriage. Dh is directed related to President Adams.
The guy who played Michael Landon's brother on Bonanza was a cousin.
Someone told her we were related to Daniel Boon but she didn't find any real proof of that claim.

we arerelated somehow to john quincy adams and john adams.

Hey deemom does that mean we are related???!!!!

That's funny. I suppose we would by marriage.

Race car driver Jimmy Rahall is a distant cousin. My family has tried to find out if we're related to unibomber Ted Kaczynski. My mom's family are Kaczynski's and the guy looks like some them. At the last family reunion had a large banner made up with a mushroom cloud on it (clip art) saying "We had a BLAST at the Kaczynski Family Reunion! Where's Ted?"
It was in horrible taste but everyone got their picture taken in front of it.

My great-great-great grandfather and John F. Kennedy's great-great grandfather were cousins. My aunt has traced back our ancestry to Ireland and even went to visit a couple years ago.
