Ok ,
So I See there was a post Started About what vyou Love to Buy there.
Thats Great !!
Since I Have not Been to An Aldi in um .... About 15 yrs. And When I Did go I Was Living at home and My Mom Went ONE time.... I Don't Remember Much.
Anyway.... I Am Going to Make a Point to Go there This Week or next.
Its only about 8 Miles away But in an Area I Rarely go to, so I Never Venture Out there.
I Have Some Questions though .
Are all the Brands you Guys Are Happy with ALDI Brands?
Do They carry National Brands?
Do I Need to Bring My Own Bags?
Can You Give me an idea Just How Cheap The Stuff is?? Is It Really that Big Of a Savings Even with Rising Costs, Have they Stayed Low??
Do they have A Full Dairy , Produce Meat , Deli Section?
Do They have Pet Food and Cleaning supplies?
I Will Stop there... Those are My Most Burning questions. '
Thanks!!

totally worth the trip!!!!!!
canned veges $.39 a can
canned fruits $.39-$59 a can'
spaghetti sauce $.99 a jar
pasta noodles $.49-$.99 a bag/box
bread sticks and cheese $.99 for 5 individual servings
Bring your own bags (or grab boxes there)...I buy a box of kitchen garbage bags and fill them with the groceries.
You will need a quarter to get a cart (put $ in slot and the cart releases) and when you return the cart, you get the $.25 back
They carry some name brands, and some Aldi brands.
They have meats, deli things, etc, but they are only precut and prewrapped in the self serve cases.....not an actual deli, not an actual meat market.
Yes, they have pet food, cleaning supplies, diapers, wipes, formula, personal hygiene supplies **most of these are Aldi brand**
Name brand candy

I can answer some of those questions for you
Are all the Brands you Guys Are Happy with ALDI Brands?
Honestly I prefer Aldi's brand over some of the national brands. For instance their tuna is chunky and not all watered down and mushy. Their bread stays fresh forever (a lot longer than say Wal-Mart or other store brands).
Do They carry National Brands?
Some national brands, kinda like save-a-lot (if you've ever been there.
Do I Need to Bring My Own Bags?
yes
Can You Give me an idea Just How Cheap The Stuff is?? Is It Really that Big Of a Savings Even with Rising Costs, Have they Stayed Low??
I think they are really great, especially on canned stuff.
Do they have A Full Dairy , Produce Meat , Deli Section?
They do have dairy, some produce, frozen meat, no deli
Do They have Pet Food and Cleaning supplies?
Yes, but it is off-brand stuff FYI
Hope all this helps. I love Aldi's and save-a-lot. They are pretty comparable to tell you the truth. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Are all the Brands you Guys Are Happy with ALDI Brands? Yes, most of the stuff is great! There are a couple things that we haven't been thrilled with (I'm not a big fan of their salad dressing but I'm also very picky about dressing). Their frozen lemonade concentrate is the best I've ever had and their frozen limeade makes fabulous margaritas!
Do They carry National Brands? A few national brands but it rotates so you won't always find them there.
Do I Need to Bring My Own Bags? Yes or you can buy them. Paper is 5 cents and plastic is 10 cents.
Can You Give me an idea Just How Cheap The Stuff is?? Is It Really that Big Of a Savings Even with Rising Costs, Have they Stayed Low?? Some of their prices have risen but they are still cheaper by far. I can't get everything I want at Aldi's so we still grocery shop elsewhere but I can feed our family of 4 for about $75/week. We aren't brand loyal to very many things and are fine with other brands if they are cheaper. The only thing I buy at the grocery store is yogurt because DH likes vanilla and Aldi's doesn't carry it, Starbucks coffee and the few vegetables and other things we can't get there.
Do they have A Full Dairy , Produce Meat , Deli Section? Yes to all but as said by others, it is all prepackaged. It is not as extensive as the grocery store but still decent. They are starting to get things like crumbled feta, bleu and gorgonzola cheese so I get them there instead of Kroger.
Do They have Pet Food and Cleaning supplies? Yes, I've never bought their pet food but I love their dish and dishwasher soap and their laundry detergent.
The things we love most in addition to the lemonade are the granola bars, Fit and Active panini sandwiches, frozen chicken breasts, cheese sticks, ice cream sandwiches and Moose Tracks ice cream, their sandwich and freezer bags and most of their vegetables, especially their avocados because they are more than 1/2 what they cost at Kroger so we make guacamole all the time without feeling guilty that we paid $2.00 each for the avocados.

Yes....I totally forgot about the quarter. It has to be a quarter, not 2 dimes and a nickel. I've had to go in the store before and break a $1 bill to get a quarter for the cart.
One time I gave a lady in the parking lot $.25 worth of other change so I could use her cart.

Okay, I am in intrigued! I have never been to one either and I figured I wouldn't like it because we mostly eat really healthy, fresh food and I rarely buy things like canned veggies. But from the things you ladies are typing, there is actually a lot of stuff there that we would like. We have one that is only about 5 miles away so I think I will go check it out.
One more question - it seems like I remember someone posting that they only take cash. Is that true?

I was just at Aldi today. These are some of the prices of things I bought today:
pasta sauce .99
4 oz tub of gorganzola crumbled cheese $1.99
5 oz tub of romano shredded cheese $1.79
box of decaf green tea .99 for 24
jar of dill pickles $1.29
iced vanilla latte coffee's .99, just like the Starbucks frap's in a glass bottle
juicy juice 8pk of juice boxes $1.79
cream cheese .99
Aldi brand frosted mini wheats $1.79
polska kielbasa, their brand, $2.29, we think tastes better than Hillshire Farms
penne dry pasta .99
Pringles .95
pillow pack of pepperoni, their brand, $1.99, we like better than any other brand
Their brand of chocolate bars with almonds are very good. My kids love their moo tubes (yogurt in the tubes). I buy their brand of Jambalaya mix for .99 and add the kielbasa to it and it's a good quick dinner, very spicy too. I know they have their brand of cat and dog food and cat litter. Today they had Quaker granola bars (but I normally buy their brand). A lot of times they have name brand cereals and other foods. They have a small assortment of toys, clothes and house ware things too. Normally at our Aldi as you are walking your cart back to the cart return someone comes up to with a quarter (or .25 worth of change) for your cart. Which is great for the times I don't always have a quarter. I bought their plastic freezer bag for .99 a few weeks ago and used it today, it did a great job keeping things cold until I got home.
