Has anyone had a fiberglass shower repaired? I bought new faucets and the plumber said the only way he could install it, since it is a different manufacture than what we currently have in there, is to cut around the current fiberglass. It is do it that way and have it repaired or buy a whole new shower enclosure.

It is a one piece which was put in when they built the house. If we replace it it will need to be a modular three or four piece unit ($500).

I am having a hard time locating someone who does the repair. Plumbers seem clueless. HD and Lowes don't offer the service. I tried to contact the manufacture of the shower to see who does warranty repair (not that this is warranty work) and I can't find anyone.

HELP! I really want to change out the fixtures to match everthing else I have done. THe current manufacture doesnt have anything close to the same design.

Maybe try calling some folks that do bathroom remodeling and repair work? I've seen kits online for repairing fiberglass showers...let me see if I can find a link to show an example.

I saw a few kits, but they were for scratches or divets, not holes cut out, KWIM? I don't know if I would trust myself with a serious repair like that - All I need is another water damage claim that is denied because I wasn't licensed to do the repair LOL

Thanks for the links - I actually had gone to the first one already. I like your idea of calling a bathroom remodel specialist.
