What is your first name? Wendy

What are your kids' names? Bob and Jamie

Were you ready for motherhood?
No, but motherhood was ready for me and I adapted very quickly!

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? I twirl my hair all the time.

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
Yes I did and I married him and they were completely wrong about him and know it now.

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
I want them to always feel loved and I would also like them to remember there was always music!

What did you learn the most from your mother?
I learned that lying will hurt others and that I should not do it.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
I probably use about 20 coupons a month. I am big on matching coupons with ads. I think one of the biggest things that has saved us money is to use vinegar to clean.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I did a search for stay at home moms. Mommysavers is exactly what I was looking for. I have told so many people about Mommysavers, but if they joined they never told me or haven't ever posted.

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
I have learned so much from many Mommysavers, I can't just pick one. The main thing I am reminded of is that I am not always right and there is more than one way to do things. Mommysavers keeps me grounded.

Tell us five things you like about yourself.
I am a good mom.
I am comfortable with change.
I have a pretty smile.
I am capable of doing great things.
I can be very funny.

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work?
I enjoy sewing. My mother sewed a lot, but never taught me and I inherited her sewing machine. I would rate myself as "good enough." My work isn't perfect, but it's handmade, so it's not supposed to be. Right now I am working on a quilt for Bob and I should be finished this week and I am very proud of it. I don't have a pic, yet.

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
We are a very music oriented family. I love most music. My favorite group is Led Zeppelin and I named my boys after Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Currently I cannot get enough of the Robert Plant/Alison Kraus cd.

List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world.
I would like to feed my family from our own garden for a year.
I would like to get a bachelor's degree in something--just not sure WHAT yet. I would like to meet Robert Plant.

Which room in your house best reflects your personality?
My bedroom/craft room. It has my sewing machine, scraps of fabric, different scrapping supplies and other craft things all over. I can be very organized on the outside, but my mind is going with new ideas constantly. Kind of like the bedroom.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
If I go by their personalities and interests right now, I see Bob as being a chef or a clothing designer. He loves to help me cook and sew. Jamie is really good at throwing and kicking balls, he could be a soccer player or football player.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C'mon tell us!!!!)
I'm shy in real-life. I love being able to be a little more outgoing behind the computer.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Not everything has to be done today! Some say that's procrastinating, and maybe it is, but I rarely miss a deadline--I may be finishing up a Halloween costume at 11:59pm Oct. 30, but it gets done!

Y'all are so cute! I love seeing pictures of all you ladies after I have "gotten to know you" on MS for a while. Everyone always looks so different than I imagine. Come on down to Atlanta this July and you can go see Robert Plant and Allison Krauss in concert with us in this little ampitheater near our house. We have had our tickets for months and we are really looking forward to it. Love that CD too! Have you seen them on Crossroads yet? It is an hour long show on the CMT that is like that MTV show Unplugged. They replay it all the time. It is really good!

You should have posted a picture of the Broby doll you made. I am still coveting that....

I am glad you put a picture of BOB on.. I married a 'Robert' It's nice to get to know you better after reading your post.

I would be happy to help you with gardening questions. It's a fun thing to do and involve the boys in. My girls love planting, weeding, watering and of course harvesting. We plant cherry tomatos on the outside row so they can walk by and pick/eat them. They love it.

Thanks, Wendy! It was fun to read more about you. I didn't know that's how Bob got his name.
