Hi! I live in a trailer park. The guy next door to me has a black cat that lives outside half of the time. He is never home when I want to talk to him about his cat. Here's the problem...the cat likes to sleep or walk around on my car and my sister's car and leave pawprints. I am getting sick of it. I don't want to cause trouble but I don't know what to do. I talked to the landlord and he doesn't own that trailer...told me if I kept having problems to call animal control. I really don't want to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
The only way to prevent the cat from getting on your car and your sister's car would be for the owner to keep the cat inside which the owner may not want to do. Perhaps you and your sister could go to an automotive store and buy some inexpensive car covers for your vehicles.

I don't think it would really be fair to call animal control on an animal for doing what they do. Hell, my own cat does that to my car, I don't let it bother me much. Cats like to climb, and unless they are scratching your car, I guess I wouldn't really worry so much about it. That's just me.
Otherwise, I dont' have a whole lot of advice, but it might be hard for him to keep his cat inside, mine goes CRAZY if you don't let her out.

I was just thinking that I didn't have any advice either because my cats walk on my car as well. Dang animals.

This probably isn't a lot of help to ConnieJ6, is it?
It's like asking how can you keep a bird from pooping on your car. You can't. Assuming it is not against the law in your town for cats to be outside, the cat is doing what cats do.

Just make sure you keep your windows rolled up! Don't crack them more than an inch (a determined cat can squeeze into places you would never dream of!)

Thats for sure they are like mice lol, my dad left his truck window open the little on in the back and our mommy cat got into the garage window and had litter in the floorboard of his truck.
