For those of you that don't know, I'm on my way to VT for a wedding. Our Suburban decided not to start after dinner last night. It was pouring (and still is) down rain. We were stuck in the Suburban for 1 1/2 hours while my husband tried to fix it and then waited for a tow truck. We're now sitting in the hotel room waiting to find out when it will be fixed. Hopefully it will be today. We need to drive an additional 6 hours to reach our destination. We need to be at the rehersal dinner Friday at 5pm. The girls have worn out their activities and are starting to get into everything and spat. I guess we'll have to get back in the pool Wish us luck!!!!

I hate car problems! I hope your truck gets fixed and you're back on the road soon!

UGH. After a similar type accident, we only rent cars now when we travel. We figure the cost savings from the wear & tear, plus the possibility of an incident like this, is worth the cost of the rental.

The rain sucks. I hope there are at least restaurants around! Is there any way you can ask at the front desk whether they can offer any fun suggestions? Depending on what type of area you're in, they may have a free shuttle (or may take mercy on you!) and take you all somewhere for a bit of a reprieve.

The fuel pump is being replaced. It will double the cost of our trip! They are hoping to have it fixed by 5pm. We decided to stay the night here since we are already paying for the room. We are hoping to get on the road first thing in the morning.

The good news is, the rain stopped. We are going to walk over to a putt putt course in a bit.

We've already done the pool and I bought the girls a puppet at the gift shop.
