But in ONLY half the house!

Half of my living room has power, the half with the tv doesn't. My kitchen is out totally and so is my bathroom. The basement is also out, and I had a load of clothes in the washer, I had JUST started it. Actually it was my sheets, so I have a naked bed right now.

The bedrooms, the hallway and the half of my living room with the computer does have power. I called dh who is in Richmond VA, because I freaked out, I didn't know what to do. He said to call his father because he knows someone who does electrical work. SO I called him and he suggested I put an extention cord on my freezer so I don't lose all my meat. He actually brought one over for me too. Can't get ahold of the electrial guy yet.

Its not the circut breaker, I believe its a short in one of the outlets. This stinks! When it rains it pours. I found some extention cords, and was able to plug in my kitchen fridge to another room that has power, and I should be able to get the tv running tonight for Hannah Montana. He's gonna keep trying the friend so hopefully we can get this taken care of ASAP!

That's a bummer. I wish my dh was home because he would know what to do.

We had the same problem earlier this year. It turned out that one of the outlets smoked. We eventually hired an electrician to find which one.

Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.

Well FIL got ahold of his friend, and said he would be here in half an hour. That was 3 hours ago. I called the guy myself and got his voicemail, and he has yet to return my call. SO I guess I'l call an electrition but on Monday. I got the freezer and fridge running on an extention cord, and was able to put the tv on one too. I should be set for the weekend till I can get someone here.

That is a Bummer, hope it gets fixed soon for you, at least you were able to get the fridge and freezer plugged into working outlets!

Saving for one of these fancy vacuum cleaners!

OH so the guy finnally came yesterday to help me. Turns out, there is a water leak IN the circut breaker box and they are all corroded. I guess its leaking from cord that comes in from the meter box to the circut box. SO He was able to move some of the breakers around so that they worked. The only thing he couldn't do was the oven and my dryer. So then I went to plug in my freezer and that plug is still out. I went to take a shower and there was not hot water. The furnace is still out. Ugh ugh.

I have an electriction coming over tonight to take a look and give me an estimate to get it fixed.
