What was one of the best birthday gifts you ever got?

I think my best was when I was a kid and my parents would give me a big party and all my family would be together. The gift didn't stick with me but those memories did.

When DS was younger, we spent a weekend at the Camelback Inn. DH took him to the pool to play w/kids while I had spa-ahhhhhhh treatments done - it was a complete spa day. Then we had snacks and drinks at the pool and he took DS to a baseball game while I floated in the pool almost the whole time.

That day was heaven! I was so rejuvenated! I'd done a yoga class, too.

When they got back, we had dinner at the nice, casual-elegant restaurant and walked the grounds before one more dip in the pool for the night.

Then, at bedtime, I put on the hers hotel robe and he'd put a pearl necklace, bracelet and earring set in there.DS hid a card and a gift he'd made under the blanket on the bed.

Now mind you, there have been too many occasions when he did nothing. But this one was so very memorable and appreciated.

Well the best birthday I had was when I turned 30.
I had just had a baby 2 days before and I got to bring her home with me on my 30th birthday! God had given me the most precious gift Ever bringing home a healthy baby girl.

DH bought me a 21 speed bike for my 40th birthday. it has a wuick release wheel so I can pack it in my Durango. When Katie was just starting preschool, I would take it to the bike trail while she was in school. It was Heaven. I get a lot of use out of it and it is a great way to exercise.

I have to admit, my dh does a good job. The best gift he gave me was my slalom ski.

My best gift was byfar the one my husband (and girlfriend) gave me for my 40th birthday. He sent me with my best friend to an adults only spa resort in Mexico and they both managed to keep it a surprise until the very last minute (we were headed to the airport when I found out). Awesome.

mine is a bit different and you all might not think ikts good.

i got my wisdom teeth out the day before i turned 40...i had bad headaches for years and dh dental coverage would not do wisdom teeth...as soon as they decided to add wisdom teeth to their coverage i was in a week later getting them both out.

Oh no, I can totally understand this. Getting mine out was THE best thing for me, too!!

My best birthday present came from God. I found I was pregnant (after years of trying), 2 days before my birthday.

I agree, a great experience stays with you for longer than a toy. Having said that I can still clearly remember getting my first bike, it was so exciting!
