Since we were bored I thought the boys could "paint" a little bit today, with shaving cream. Messy, yes. Easy clean up, yes. Plus they had tons of fun. I just can't stand the manly smell in the kitchen now! I told Evan that tomorrow we'll get a box of vanilla pudding and Thurs we'll "paint" with pudding. THat way when it finds it's way to their mouths, it's ok! And since Zoe thinks she's one of their siblings she had to get in on the fun too. Although she kept taking off with the shaving cream covered paint brushes.

We actually use shaving cream and foam soap on a huge mirror propped against the wall. Way easy to clean up and if it needs to be cleaned up later just move the mirror.(also pudding and cool whip could be delicious too) I had never thought of doing this but the OT does it alot with DD who has sensory issues.

We use shaving cream in cake pans or a tray. Sometimes with food coloring.

With vanilla pudding, you could add a few drops of food coloring and have different colors to paint with!!

At my son's preschool, they hide little toys inside the shaving cream. I think they put the shaving cream in some kind of water table for a sensory experience. I just got some cheap foamy shave cream at Walmart so we can do this at home. I used to do this with my first graders to clean the tables - the room smelled so nice when they were done!
