We have no house!!! The sellers on the house we are supposed to be buying are dragging their feet and have not signed the paperwork. Their agent has no idea what is going on and he cannot get them to give him any answers. So we are moving in 2 1/2 weeks and have no where to move to. Amazingly, I am calm. DH is looking at houses today and I told him to just pick something as long as we can get in quickly. I told him to call me and after I get off work I will get the kids from school and head down there to sign the offer. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Right now I don't understand the reason, but there has to be one!

Everyone please say a little prayer for my situation.

We had this happen to us about ten years ago. It wasn't the sellers so much as it was just one thing after another. We ended up not getting the house...rented something for a year..and then got a MUCH better and bigger house for LESS! You have my prayers, regardless!
BTW...I thought they were being foreclosed on??? If so, the bank will sell it!

We think they are trying to avoid foreclosure. They still own the house though, not the bank.

I would smack those sellers upside the head if I was there...but for now, I will say a prayer for you and your family instead!

I am so sorry to hear this is happening to you. I swear it's the stupid area down here...we have never had so much trouble buying a house as we had buying this one here ~ even up to the last minute.

Why don't you call the seller yourself directly and tell them you need the paperwork completed immediately in a nice way of course. Talking to them you might figure out what is going on and if you need to back out and find another house.

Was there not a time limit on how long they had to sign the papers? We just bought a house. Our offer was good for 12 hours, once that was accepted and signed (within the 12 hour time limit) closing had to occur on by the close of business on a set date. I am a scheduler everything has to be spelled out and on time.

We did find a house we fell in love with. We made an offer and there were some issues that nixed the deal. I was SO upset but two weeks later we found our current house. It was 1000 sq feet bigger, had 3 more bedrooms and so much better than the house we originally made and offer on. It was also about $10,000 less. Everything happens for a reason. You have to believe you will find what is right for you and your family.
