I am trying to decide they both cost a heck of alot to begin with My 6yr old daughter rec'd one from 'Santa' 2 Christmas ago but it was mistakenly thrown OUT she was devistated and still gets sad if its mentioned, my other daughter also has one that she got on her b-day. She begged for an American Girl this past Xmas but we were strapped and it just was not in the budget. Now Xmas is coming up again I would like to surprise her with one but I came across the My Twinn dolls very cute also. What do you all think? I am a bit of an AG snob we have been there 3x so far loved it! also she had the Just Like Me doll should I get her the exact same one if I do go that route or is the My Twinn a better option? Does My Twinn fit in to AG clothes? We have a lot

My Twinn does not fit AG clothes. I am also an AG snob and would definitely agree with the AG doll over the my twinn. The best way to save money on an AG doll is to wait until AG releases a free shipping code or a % code. They usually have one about this time of the year, just before the Christmas rush. I have found in the past, the free shipping one is usually best but with buying 2 dolls, you may do better with the % off code.

Make sure you are on their email list so you get the email with the codes.

I would go with the AG if that is specifically what she wants and you can possibly afford it.

We have both- my oldest got a My Twinn and in all seriousiness, that thing is freaky (they are bigger then Ag dolls so I don't think you can put AG clothes on them, but I am sure you can use their accessories with them)! I love AG! I have heard like crankymom said that they do offer a discount on something before Christmas time.

I think the new JLY dolls are so cute in their new outfits- I am planning on getting one for my youngest this Christmas- just the doll with no accessories is $90 and they usually have some other outfits marked down in their sale section. If you start planning now you should be able to save up the money for them!

I love our AG dolls! You can also, if I'm not mistaken, get a doll made with your specifications.

Ok, I was wrong, but they have Just Like Me dolls. This is what we did for dd a couple of years ago.
