What is your first name?Trudy

What are your kids’ names and ages?
Nathan 18,Coty 17, Mercedes 6

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I found MommySavers through googling for money saving ideas...My Mom and I constantly challenge each other to come up with money saving idea and such sp I was looking for some new ideas.Since then my Mom has actually joined and I have told others just not sure if they joined or not.

What does your user name mean? I have one of the self explanatory ones..I am simply...mommy to Mercedes

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
I would have to say that pats on the back are earned regularly from members all over the board...I am consistently finding new ideas and such from members. But as far as a the BIGGEST, all time payoff ,I have received from the site....I would have to give a bow in Kim's direction....I think The Forget The Joneses project was,and is still, a HUGE success. And I think that everyones support also of the project and extended efforts of the project that was expanded to almost all other areas of the board have been a huge benefit to all.I paid off our $5 grand cc and I was certainly NOT the only success story......so "Hats off to ya Kim...thanks"

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? I use them by the handful and am well known in my grocery store. To use 30-40 or more coupons in a trip is NOT out of the norm for me.

What was your most recent "bargain"?Last week or so ago I got 24 tubs of Quaker Oatmeal for FREE

What have you done to save money this week?
I stayed home!(Stir crazy did threaten to kick in a few times but I'm surviving)I made my Mom and Dad a cake for their anniversary instead of buying one and I've baked a few times late in the evening to avoid turning on the furnace.

What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save? I can't really think of any crazy thing I do...although I coupon more seriously than some...and some people seem to think that's crazy...I just think its smart.

What is your favorite store in which to find bargains?
JCPenney....for some reason I always seem to be able to find a great buy there.

What is the best deal you ever found (even if it wasn’t at your favorite store)?Oh my goodness I've had alot....but last Xmas I was able to get my husband a surround sound system that was Orig about $150 on clearance @ K-Mart for $40

What is your best money saving tip? Stay home, force yourself to make due with what you have.

What is your favorite frugal meal? Soup beans n cornbread...yummo.

Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won? I won an XBox for my son one year when they were first coming out...it was a HULK edition so it was green....Giant Eagle was running an in store promotion..like,for every bottle of sierra mist you bought you were entered or something...funny thing is I got like 20 bottles BUT...only because I had coupons and was getting them for like .10 a bottle......so practically free soda and a free xbox to boot...I loved it!

If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family? I would buy a 1:a HUGE chunk of property and on it I would put 2 new homes 1 for me and 1 for my Mom....life wold be good!!!

If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy? I'd look for a deal on new winter pajamas.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Lately, with all the economic bad news...I would have to say..."Better safe than sorry"is my motto....I shop like a squirrel...a can of something for today and one to toss on the nut pile.

Sum yourself up in 1 word: thrifty
