Received the train today. Boy! You ladies are so organized with those envelopes! I'm impressed! Round 2 will go out tomorrow. Please note the new addy list in the envelope with everyone's new screen names, etc. I hope to email it to everyone too so you can have your own copy, just in case.

Alright train 2! *It's on it's way! *BTW, someone mentioned the cost of sending the envelope. *Just FYI. *The PO said today that it's .39 for the 1st oz. and .24 every oz. after that. *To keep cost down, please go through the coupons when they come your way and pull out any that will expire within the next few weeks and don't include anything that expires before a month is up. *I took a lot out of the last batch that expired next week.

Hey guys,
I got the coupons yesterday! Because of family issues, I haven't been able to go through them all yet, but am working my way through the envelopes. There are quite a few expiring in the next couple of weeks, so I will pull those, and put plenty of more that I have been collecting! Will try to have it out by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest!! I've been boo'ed!!

Hey guys ... it's Friday afternoon and I just got back in from running all sorts of errands ... sorry it took so long, but the train went to our local post office this morning! I dropped it off and saw it get postmarked and go in the "out" bin myself! This week has been crazy, so PLEAAAASSEEEE forgive me - don't usually want to take 6 days with the train! But I went through, took out any coupons that were about to expire in the next 10 days or so and added a BUNCH more (I have been saving for a while). So, it should be there very soon!

A question for everyone - as the train gets bigger (the envelope was over $1.80 this time) I am wondering if there are coupons for anything we could leave out ... for example, hair color. If none of our group colors their hair at home, we could leave out those coupons and save on the postage. (I'm not making any kind of comment on hair coloring - just an example ther ) What do you think?

I think that would be fine. Another option would be to make the train smaller. Maybe have a train 2a and a train2b. Or I could move some people around and make train 9. That would help. I'm making the trains about 4 people now (incl. me). I agree that it does get pricey when there's a lot in there. I like the envelope system, but that also adds weight. Opinions?
