If you haven't already, speak to the manager. If the manager tells you this as well, call the district manager. I always ask to speak to the manager while standing in customer service. The district manager's number is listed on the wall in there. I will call from my cell phone standing right there in front of the manager. If district doesn't help, call corporate and verify that they haven't changed the policy. If you do have to call corporate and they say they do accept them make sure you tell them what store you were at and the managers that you talked to. They will correct the problem.

Is anyone aware of what Hannaford's and Shaw's coupon policies are? Every time I go in those stores it's different. No cashier or manager ever gives the same answer as another one. Frusturating when some days they'll double, some days they won't, some days they'll take internet coupons, some days they won't....hard to get consistent savings!

I couldn't find any info on Shaw's, but I DID find a CS number you could call and find out.

I have had no problem using any coupon at kroger. I use printed ones all the time. There is no proble as long as it scans. I have not tried to use publix or any other store coupons though.

I have heard that you can "stack" coupons at Toys R US and Babies R Us. Anyone done this?

I've not heard of stacking at TRU & BRU but that isn't to say that you can't (I've never tried.) But I would say that it doesn't hurt to call and ask! (Just make sure when you call that you speak with a manager.)
