When I was first married I used coupons here and there, but I really became addicted once I became a SAHM and really buckled down on a budget the savings can be amazing!

What made you get started?

I began using coupons when I started having kids. But I grew up with parents that were very frugal. I remember going to the store on several occasions and only picking up neccessities because my mother forgot her coupon book. She was even on coupon trains from other states via snail mail not the internet!

I started clipping coupons just a few weeks ago right before I found this website. We were really struggling with buying groceries and I thought I would see what kind of money we could save if I started getting the paper and clipping coupons. Once I found you guys I was in heaven with the coupon trains! My best friend calls me a coupon queen now

I used to try to use them if i had some when i was a kid/teen, and once i moved to the USA then it was a natural thing for me to just grab them from where i could. I love saving money.

I started clipping coupons after seeing my best friends mom buy a cartfull of groceries for $60 (with a huge savings!). At the time we were in major financial crisis and I did not do price matching, shopping for the sales or even had a stockpile yet. It was an awakening- she gave me her tips and the next weekend she stopped by my house with a coupon envelope with coupons in it and $1.50 for next weeks Sunday paper- she is such a sweet smart lady!

I started clipping coupons as a kid because I knew we were poor. My mom did occassionally but didn't do it regularly so I started. She told me I shouldn't worry about things like that, but it was just my nature. I slacked off when I was selling on eBay and making great money, but when the market died out I started again. I've recently gotten seriously into it.
