How do you organize your coupons? I bought one of those little expandable organizers from wal-mart, but it doesn't seem to have enough slots.
What categories do you organize your coupons into?
What do you use to organize your coupons?
Do you take all your coupons to the store in case you find something else you need?

I have a coupon binder I use to organize my coupons. It is a large sized binder. I use the baseball card pages to put the coupons into-I have to fold the coupons usually. I have the little squares (baseball card inserts) categorized. I got the file folder labels and typed up the categories on them and then on the outside of each square I stuck the label. Depending on the category, I use more little squares for some categories than others. For example, I have a ton of cleaning supply coupons and use 3 squares where as with bread products I only use one. I also have those clear plastic page protectors and I place them in the front. In those, I place my grocery lists (I go ahead and attach the coupons corresponding to the list). I also place weekly ads in those page protectors. In the back of the binder, I have about 6 more page protectors. One is filled with coupons for the coupon train, one that has expired coupons for the military, one for store coupons, one for fast food coupons, one for restaurant coupons and one for coupons for services (such as hair cuts, etc.) Here are the categories for the regular grocery coupons:
-Air fresheners and candles
-Baby
-Breads, biscuits and rolls
-Canned vegetables
-Cereals
-Cookies, Candies and Cakes
-Cleaning supplies
-Dental
-Drinks
-Dairy
-Frozen foods
-Frozen novelties (ice creams)
-Dog stuff
-Doughs and mixes
-Dish cleaning
-Hair and skin products
-Laundry
-Makeup
-Medicine
-Paper goods
-Misc. toileties-razors, contact stuff, etc.
-Soups
-Spices and Sauces
-Pastas, potatoes and rice
-Snacks
-Misc. household-garbage bags, batteries, etc.
-Meats and seafood
I usually take the whole binder in because some deals are not advertised in the paper. Otherwise, I keep it in the car and it it very handy if we want to go out to eat and cant decide where, we just go through what coupons we have usually and that is where we go. PM me if you have any ?'s, as I am kinda obsessed with coupon organization and I might be able to post pics of the binder so you can get kinda a visual idea. HTH!

I have an expandable coupon caddy (small-ish...it fits into my larger purses). When I am using one of those purses, it is always in it so I have it, otherwise I keep it in my car so I have it out with me. For catagories it has limited space so mine are: Beverages, Condiments, frozen, snacks, canned /jar goods, snacks, dairy,breads/cereal,baking, paper goods, health & Beauty, cleaning and misc.

I'm sure everybody does it differently. How do you store/manage your coupons? What's your system, and why does it work for you?

I found a storage booklet specifically for coupons at Staples and so I use that. It fits in my purse. There are pockets for a lot of different pre-specified categories and I have used most of them and even changed a few to meet my needs, like trading pet supplies for baby supplies! I usually sort through them each month and bring the ones that expire that month to the front of the pile so I make sure and use those. Lots of times, I even plan my monthly menu around the coupons that I have.

I have mine in the Longerberger Spring Basket. I do ALOT of couponing!! I have several dividers and it's very clean, organized and easy to use! I was just beside myself a couple weeks ago when I couldn't find it! I left it at Target in the midst of a chaotic moment with my kids. Thankfully I got it back...all in tact! I am very attached to this basket and goes everywhere with me. You just never know when you may need something out if it.

I have a 2 inch 3 ring binder right now.
Trading card inserts for the coupons, sorted alphabetically by product name (roughly). Not exact alpha, just A's with A's and so on. I have A - Z page divders for fast flipping to what I want.
In the front I have empty inserts seperated with regular dividers, 2 inserts per section, where I can pre-pull coupons as I'm planning the sales for the week. Sections there are CVS, Target, Publix, Walmart & Other (one week other was Winn Dixie, another it was Albertsons... stores I don't go to unless theres an amazing deal).
In the back I have full sheet page protectors to hold rebate forms that are not ready to be sent in yet.
I bought a zipper pencil pouch from Targets $1 spot for a place to put any coupons I pick up or that I end up not using to be refiled, but it was defective and wouldn't fit the rings properly so I'm still needing to get another one.
Oh, and my binder has the clear plastic cover on it, so I just slip my printed to do list in the front of it before I go, easy to see with binder sitting in cart as I shop.

I will try to take some this weekend and post them! I went to Kroger today and went to the manager's desk to get a rain check (BTW, they have Lysol antibacterial wipes 40 count for $1.50 each and they had $.50 off coupons in this Sunday's paper which gets doubled so you will pay $.50-but anyways, the manager looked at my binder and said "oh my gosh you are so organized about your coupons!" I was kinda embarassed but proud at the same time.

I have one of those small expandable coupon holders that i got from the dollar store.
In the very first slot I crossed off whatever was there and put "free" that slot is made for my free items or b1g1 items.
I put all my "drug items" in that 1 slot but I file it by what it is, such as shampoo, razors, etc.
I go through my coupons at home before heading out to the store and paper clip the ones I plan to use on that shopping trip.
This system works for me.
