I thought I had read someone here( or maybe it was another board )

had Posted a Deal about CVS having shick razors for only 2.00 on sale
And in the Paper this Week there is a Coupon for 2.00 off ANY shick razor or refill -

So I am thinking cool - FREE razor -

Well Not so according to the cashier -

She said the Coupon is only Good for the 4 Pack or higher as in the picture on the Coupon - Cause she said they have to go by what the Picture is ....

I am very Nice and i don't like to make cashiers mad or annoyed - ...
But I simply asked - Didn't ANY mean ANY RAZOR??

She said no - and she got the Supervisor over there
I was totally like - "forget it - its ok "

But no she asked the other Chick -
and she said that you can't use a coupon that equals the amount or higher ....
She said stores can't GIVE items away.

I just got out of there - Quick - Cause I DID not Feel like hearing them anymore and I thought I'd come here and ask first before I stand my Ground a little Stronger Next time -

If the coupon says any razor that is what it means. I get stuff free all the time that way. They are not "giving" anything away. They are reimbursed for that coupon. It sounds to me like they do not know what they are talking about. I used to work in retail and a lot of the time the employees are not really trained on what to do when it comes to coupons. I am sorry you had this experience. I would call and ask the store manager about it. If that does not work, you could call corporate.

Yes, it can be used. i have gotten free stuff from them and Walgreens by doing this same thing. If the coupon says any it means any.You do still have to pay the tax. The store isn't losing out on money the manufacturer pays them back. I would first try another CVS in your area, Then call CVS and ask, and ask them for a copy of there coupon policy so you are armed for the future. I'm heading in the store today for the razors and the Aqufressh Advance toothpaste which I also have a coupon for, and I will be getting "extra bucks" back which will make them better than free.:happy dance:

I go to another bargain web site also, and there have been TONS of people there getting them for free. Must just be your store's policy.

I just got my free razor yesterday. It was not marked but when I took it to the register, it rang up as $2. I just paid the tax.

Same here.

Also, if you don't like to talk to customer service directly, you can usually get good results by emailing corporate. I had a question about a free stroller with purchase of baby products offered in the ad one week at CVS because our local CVS didn't know anythin about it. So, I emailed corporate and they reserved one at the local store for me to pick up at my convenience. Sometimes it takes a few days to get an answer, but I usually have very good luck with this. Sometimes I just take the approach that "I wanted to bring your attention to . . ." or "I wanted to clarify a situation." That works well.

Try another CVS, if it says ANY RAZOR, then it means ANY, they didn't know what they were talking about!

I agree is is so much better to go during the day when the experienced crew is on - not the high school kids who view you as a cheap nuisance!!! I was one of those cashiers in my teens!! Now that I am a mom I get it!!
