This is a pretty dumb question. The more I think about it, the dumber it sounds, but I'll ask it anyway. Say you have a coupon for buy one get one free. Then, a store is advertising that product buy one get one free. You can't use your coupon and get BOTH free, right??

Yep, you sure can. A few stores/salesclerks actually look at it and say "You're going to get all this stuff for FREE?" "NO Way. You can't do that!" But in actuality, the store is getting the money back from the manufacturer and it is a perfectly legal and GREAT way to get the most from your coupons. So if someone tells you that you can't do this, my recommendation would be to push the issue and ask to speak to the manager and if that doesn't get you anywhere, I would call corporate and ask them their coupon policy. I've never had a corporate tell me that this was against their policy BUT individual stores/managers do seem to usually have the right to do what they want. Sometimes they fold and sometimes they don't. If they don't, I would look for another store. There are PLENTY of stores that want your money!! HTH

It also matters as to the cashier. I have some that are coupon people themselves so they know bettr than the managers. I have favorite cashiers that even if their lines are longer I may go to them if I have coupons that others will need to stop and think about.

How true! I just found a Walgreen's about 15 miles from me. The cashier is so great with the coupons that I think I'll be going there on my really spectacular weeks!

Why worry about pushing it somewhere else when you could have it so good at a place you already know!
