I got a coupon to get a free Grate It Fresh Parmesan Cheese. Coupon says good for up to $5.50 but the store I went to was selling it for almost $6. My question is can I use it and pay the difference? Or is that not allowed?

I would think that it would depend on the store your using it at, but I don't see why it would be a problem.

yes u can do that. if however, it costs less than the product it should be the same price, but sometimes they give u the full amount off. for example, free pizza up to $4.00, pizza cost $3.50. they are supposed to take $3.50 off but sometimes they will take $4.00 off. depends on the cashier/store/coupon. they like to make it confusing so u won't use it.

yeah, when it says "Up to" that means that amount given is all they cover, nothing more. I got two free State fair corn dogs coupons and both said they were "Free up to $4.00"...
I used both of the coupons on separate visits. The corn dogs were on sale. Reg. they were 7.96 a HUGE box and the sale was for $5.96 and using the coupon I paid $1.96. (For the first box). For the second box that I bought today, the lady took off all $5.96- she didn't read rge coupon obviously and I didn't read the recipt until I got home, so I wasn't able to catch her mistake.

I always assumed that if under the price they would take off the whole price and if over the price on coupon- take off the amount up to on the coupon. I never had a coupon for the up to price be over the amount charged so I can't really help you!
