When you take extra coupons, you are not stealing from the store or the mfr., because you will be spending the same money as the other person who would take the coupon. AND, the store, or the merchandiser has the job of refilling them. They usually have plenty, or can easily get more.

If it's a product I use often I will take more than what I am purchasing on that day. I try and make sure that I don't take more than I'll use though, and just end up throwing them away.

Now I know why I do horrid at couponing. It never occurred to me to take more than one for future use. Thanks for the good idea!

Once when me kids were babies, I was at the store when I struck up a conversation with the rep for Gerber. I jokingly asked him if he had any coupons, and he pulled a huge stack of coupons from his pocket. .50 cent ones and gave them too me. He said he had more so take them all. As a result of that, when I am shopping I take what I need then and as many as I can use later. I stock up seriously. I don't take what I won't use. One thing I do is when you see the smart source dispensers, I take the ones in the little top slot. Those are the ones that were pulled from the machine and then the personn decided to not use it. I figure they have been discarded. I am honest in using coupons, but I don't consider it dishonest to take more than one of a coupon. Not everyone buys 1 of something. I figure you take what you need, but always leave some for the next guy.

My two girls (6 and 3) keep busy while I'm shopping by getting a bag from the fruit/veg aisle and then putting whatever coupns they find in them. They came up with the game themselves and if it keeps them busy i don't complain, plus I get coupons. I do tell them to take only 2 of each at most.

I think that the only reason it would be dishonest would be if there was a sign saying to ONLY take one.

those coupons usually aren't that great, so it is very rare that i take any at all. i usually have a coupon worth much more. like colgate. now why would i want a 50 cent do not double coupon that's available in the machine for colgate when i have a 75 cent off do double coupon that i got in last sunday's paper, and the colgate is on sale for 1.00?

but i will admit, i grab the baby formula coupons by the handful, but usually they are all over the floor anyway. so it's technically not taking it from the machine. so i don't feel bad
