I SO want to be a couponing gal!! I search EVERY Sunday for good coupons. I usually only find 2 or 3 that I really can use. What am I missing? It just doesn't seem worth my while to clip, cut and take them to the store to save .50 cents. There isn't a store near me that doubles coupons. Am I doing something wrong here?

I used to feel the same way, but I just started saving everything that I "might" use. Then when there is a sale you can really save. For example. I really never used to buy crest toothpaste, but always see coupons for it. So I clip them and then walgreens or cvs will have a bogo sale and you get 2 tubes for like $1.40 or something.
Another helpful tip might be to not be conserned with the brand of coupon you are clipping for example....I usually save all shampoo and conditioner and body soap so if there's a sale and it makes one cheaper than the other with the coupon then I will buy that one. HTH.

I love coupons.
I'm a novice though
I usually collect coupons from fast food restaurants for whenever we "must" indulge in unhealthy treats
They work like a charm everytime!!!!!

just last week I got rolaids (3 roll packs), robitussin cough drops for free...about 30 of each.

softsoap hand soap for .30 cents a bottle.

yesterday was 6 bottles of sunsilk shampoo/conditioner....FREE.

I LOVE COUPONING. I have a binder. I sort, staple, cut and file up to 8 or more inserts SETS every week. and it is really really beginning to pay off!!!!

I Have a few couponing websites to share if anyone is interested please PM me. I am always here to give advice!!!

Don't get discouraged! What I do is keep all the inserts intact (label them with the date they came) and after I scour the ads, I cut out what I need. It helps if you have doubles or more of the inserts(friends, family). keep those coupons! Usually within a couple of weeks someone will have a sale on some of those products! I'm definately not an expert, but if you have any questions, pm me and I will try to help!

Being on the trains helps....you can get what you need from others and send them the things you don't. I cut everything and sometimes leave them in the stores when they might expire soon. I have thought the same way, but I have the time to plan my lists and coordinate sales with coupons. Having a price list helps...I'm working on that.

Thanks!
Yes, that is just coupon savings. My "all together" savings is posted on the frig. Some of these ladies are "hard-core" couponers that even I envy! It's surprising how a little bit can add up to quite a lot!
I also have a little stock pile. Let me give an example: My local store has Ragu (normally 1.89 a jar) on sale for .99, I have a coupon for $1.00 off 3. So, I buy 3 = 2.97 - 1.00 = 1.97. Okay, 1.97 divided by 3 = .65 a jar! Now wouldn't that make you happy to spend .65 a jar rather than 1.89? That's how I try to look at it. KWIM?

absolutely!

my brother thought I was crazy for spending 10 bucks on ebay for 50 starkist tuna and 40 diet pepsi 20 oz coupons. til I handed him half of each and said...now go to the store...they'll all be free. and they were! on sale for 1.00 each.. .55 cent coupons double up to 1.00. Pow. free. just tax on the pop and zero for the tuna.

or when I gave him enough campbells soup coupons to combine with a sale and a store special on certain products that netted him 45 cans of chicken noodle and/or tomato soup for $3.00!!! yes folks....$3!~
