We've all talked about generic brands and how much more affordable they are.....so why do we still enjoy coupons? ARe they worth the effort to you?

Heck ya I like coupons. There are things that I am buying generically but there are still a few "loyal" things that coupons are great for!

I love coupons. It is such a thrill to me when I see my bill go way down. Less $$ out of my pocket.

I also started doing rebates.

No...not really. If I see one for a product I use, I'll try to keep it in my purse, but more often than not, I completely forget. LOL

I love coupons, especially when you get it free!! There was a $1.00 off Ortega products so I brought 2 taco seasoning packages at .99 each, my grocery store doubles coupons so they paid me .02 to purchase them. I don't buy things just because there is a coupon, but if I'm buying it having a coupon makes it easier!!

I think that they are worth it. Generics are not always cheaper than regular name brands. I have got numerous things for free because of coupons and because the item was on sale. How can you say no to that?? I have loyally been using coupons for a little longer than two months and I have easily saved $100 already.

They are definitely worth it to me. I did our shopping yesterday and saved 35% off our total bill. That adds up very quickly for a family of six. I use a lot of store brands also, but there are some products that just don't compare or the name brand is cheaper with a coupon.

Yes, coupons are worth cutting out to me! It does save and I admit I like a lot of name brand stuff over store brands I just can't seem to help it

Since I started using coupons in January '07 I have saved a little over $700 so far this year. My average savings is 50-55% per shopping trip.
I have stockpiled to the point now I base my shopping list on what is on sale and what I have coupons for. Whether I need it or not I get it when the price is right - I will eventually use it. There are fewer than 10 things on my list that I actually need that are not on sale or I have a coupon for - like milk, eggs, etc.

I stiill have my groceries budgeted for the pre coupon spending amount. I transfer the balance of what I did not spend into my Hot Tub savings account. Hopefully this time next year I will be soaking in it!
