That's what I picked up today from ONE new source I have that is saving coupons for me!!

I went last night to a local gas station and just asked them what they did with the left-over Sunday papers. Since they just threw them out, I asked the lady to save them for me. I went to pick them up this morning, and she handed me 15 newspapers!!

I then went around town this morning, asking at other places if they would save them for me, and I have TWO MORE places that WILL, and one that is still to call me back!!

NO MORE BUYING THE NEWSPAPER FOR ME!!

I could almost KICK myself for buying two papers yesterday!!

So, you see?...It doesn't hurt to ASK!!!

I just wanted to add that:

1.) I DO plan to use some of these coupons to buy staples to stock up our local food pantry for the holidays, and I will also add some of what I DON'T use to my stash of expireds to send overseas.

and 2.) Out of the 6 or 7 places I've been to, I found that the MEN I talked to were the ones who were more "receptive" of the idea. Most of the women I talked to either told me that the papers were being picked back up, or that it "wasn't a good idea"... Not sure on that one. They were being thrown away anyways!!

the stores around here always retain their sunday papers. once i walked into a grocery store on a thursday, and they still had a small pile. this was good for me, as i'd kicked myself for forgetting to pick it up...
