Ok, So i'm new to the whole catalina thing.. i've actually never got one! so technically i'm a catalina virgin!!

Well i was at ablies a couple nights ago, i don't even remember what i got, but it spit my receipt out then the other machine ( which i'm assuming is the catalina machine) spit out another receipt. My cashier simply grabbed it and crushed it in his hand and threw it away. i stood there and watched him do it, didn't say anything and threw a questioning look at my husband...

Then we were there tuesday night getting the last of my scott tp deal and the same cashier was over at the self checkouts and was checking out someone. and he did the same thing!! what i'm still assuming is the catalina machine spit a receipt out and he crinkled it up and threw it away... now am i wrong? isn't this a catalina? i was going to say something but i didn't want to make a @$$ of myself it it wasn't a catalina...

Please help!! i have to go back today to get my quakers deal!!!

I've never heard of the store Ablies, but I remember getting Catalina coupons when I visited a Kroger store in southern Illinois once. I haven't visited another grocery store that offers them, but it sounds to me like maybe you got gipped out of your coupons!!

The next time you're in the store, I would either get another cashier or ask a manager about this BEFORE you check out. Some of those Catalina coupons are really good, and you want what's coming to you for shopping there!!

I would have said something lol. It sounds like a Catalina. Next time tell him youd like your coupon. Ive never had anyone throw mine away. but i have had some "forget" to give them to me.

A catalina is a coupon that is printed off at the register. Not all stores have them.

We have some that print out advertisements only- no coupons. Some cashiers will throw away the advertisements. Maybe that's what it was, but it couldn't hurt to ask.
