Okay so don't laugh at me. Cuz if this is true, I honestly didn't know!

I've had a membership since March. I started really using coupons on items about Mayish, so I've been doing this a while. It was basically learn as I go as to what they will accept and what they won't. I just handed them a stack of coupons and whatever scanned, scanned, and what didn't, didn't. I've ALWAYS used those coupons that say "save $1 on 2". They have always scanned, no one ever told me I can't use them. Cashiers just took them. I combined those coupons with my BJs coupons, and saved tons. Its mostly the Quaker coupons, fruit snacks, and cereal coupons that have that on them.
I just assumed because they sell everything in bulk, and ususally there are 2 bags of cereal or whatever in the box, thats why they accepted them. I never questioned it, I just went with it.

Well this week, there was a BJs coupon that said 'save $4 on 2 boxes of GM cereal' Okay great right? I happen to have 2 GM coupons that said 'save $1 on 2' so I figured I could use 1 on each box. Well the girl at the register told me I couldn't use 2, only 1. I asked her why? And she read thecoupon tome saying Ihad to buy 2 boxes of cereal. I did I tell her. She said the way the coupon reads, I had to buy 4 boxes of cereal. Well I wasn't buying 4 and anyway, I have always been able to use these coupons in the past. She said, 'well you can't.' Well then why have I always been able to do it before? Her answer "Well, you much have gotten new cashiers that didn't know what they were doing, but I'm not, and I will NOT accept that coupons!" I was like, thats not true! Then she said, 'well they don't read the coupons then, we can not accpet them, do you realize how much money our store will lose if I accept them??' I was like, 'excuse ME. Past cashiers have scanned the coupons, they scanned, therefore I thought the store accepted them. Her response: "would you like to discuss this with the manager?" And you need to read the snotty tone in which she was replying to me. In the mean time,I told her how I've been doing this since I've been a member, and see this coupon that says I need to buy 3 fruitsnacks? Inever do! I only buy one, use my coupon and its always accepted. And she said "well I'm not accepting that one either!" SNOT!

I just gave up. It wasn't worth fighting over the $2, when I already saved $35 with the coupons I did have. But for future, does anyone know who is right????
