When a cashier wont accept your coupons? I went to Walmart today and had my little stack of coupons. I asked the cashier if she would like them before or after scanning since i've been refused before when I gave them to a cashier after She told me she would take them when she finished and she didnt look too happy. Anyways when it came time to scan the coupons I gave her one for free ziplock baggies and she tried to scan it when it asked her for the amount she told me the coupon was not valid and she wouldn't take it. now normally I would argue and ask for a manager who knows how to do these things but since I was with my elderly granmother i decided to let it go. this happens to me all the time though and its so frustrating! i know my coupons are legit and i carefully choose the products based on the coupons. this one came from the manufacturer themselves because i emailed them a compliment. grrrr...

Manager immeditely... But I also don't shop walmart.

Some cashiers are very snobby.. I try to pick older gentlemen, they seem the nicest (in my area).

yes i did. i take my grandmother grocery shopping on saturdays and that was one of the things on her list. i politely told the lady that amount meant she needed to enter the price but she refused so i just let it go and paid for the darned ziplock bags. I dont understand what the big deal is anyways its not like the cashier themselves or walmart is going to be out any money. This does usually only happen to me at walmart because i usually go to winndixie and use the self check out lanes so i enter my own coupons.

I'm sorry it happened to you, but I do understand now why you just went ahead and bought them anyways.. I hope it doesn't happen to you next time.

That is one of the reasons I do not go to walmart, they are SO picky with coupons. I have gotten a manager before over coupons as well. The store that I usually go to, I place the item on the belt with the coupon sticking out underneath it. Especially for ones that they have to put an amount in.
Maybe next time you go there you could go up to C/S and show them the coupon and they might refund your money. I know when the cashier "forgot" to scan them at walmart , I did that and they gave me my $ off.

They are stupid, all they had to do was enter the amount of what the item cost and it whould of worked.

If I have a free item I put the coupon on top of the item. Even if they say they don't need them till the end. But with other coupons I will give them to them at the end. The reason I set it on top, is because they need to know the exact price to enter in, so it can be taken off.

What a bummer!! I try to look for a college boy cashier. They usually just hit the button to accept it as a valid coupon. There are some that are legit and there is no reason why it shouldn't accept it but their system has kinks (obviously). I have been through a line before where the cashier is nit-picky and it's a pain, I just hope that all goes through. If it doesn't go through - I don't take the product. Sometimes that has made them accept it too LOL!
