So my weekend project for this weekend is to organize my coupons, and i am doing the binder/baseball card holder method. Just curious for those of you who cut your coupons, do you clip and save EVERY one of them for the possibility of them being a freebie/moneymaker one day?

For example...
Pet coupons when you don't have a pet?
Hair dying coupons when you have no intention of dying your hair?

I'm just wondering if I should be clipping every coupon, or being more selective. Thanks in advance for the input!

I only clip and save the coupons I can use. Otherwise it's just to much clutter for me.

no pet here not dog food coupons

I know my stores so well that I can typically tell if a coupon is worth saving or not.

But to better answer your question.....I'll use shampoo as an example...it might not be my usual brand...but if it's a good coupon...I'll save it in the event that it COULD become a good savings.(Same w/certain food items and most everything else)

This is one of the great reasons to join one of our coupon trains! I no longer have a need for diaper coupons but I send them on the train to give to someone else who does need them. The person or persons before me might not have a dog, I do and I love to get those extra coupons! Its great, as soon you get 50 posts here at MS hop on board

I save the circulars, but don't cut anything out unless it's on my list.

I clip the coupons I use and the coupons for the trains I'm on. I keep the train coupons in a ziplock back that stays in my binder, just in case I see a good tearpad or blinkie at the store. The coupons I keep for trade I store in the insert and clip as needed. HTH!

I cut almost everything. The products I couldn't possibly use in my house (dog food, for example) I can send along on a train or give to a friend who has a dog. If no one wants them, I send them to a military base once they expire.
I do not cut things like denture cleaner that I doubt there is a high demand for.

I used to only clip coupons for the brands I usually buy, but then I would be at Target and see a great sale or clearance on something that wasn't my usualy brand, but that I could use. For example, one time there was Palmolive dish soap on clearance for $1.74 and I KNEW there had just been a $1 off coupon in the paper for this particular variety. I could have kicked myself for not clipping it! It was still a good deal at that price, but it would have been great with the coupon. So now if it is something that I can always use, I will clip the coupon.
