I'm in the minority here. I've been using coupons for over 10 years and I still get nervous every time I check out.
Maybe it comes from years of being questioned by my cashiers. I can count on one hand the number of times that a cashier has been courteous or excited about my savings.
My store has recently started accepting internet coupons and I get the questionable looks and scrutiny every time I use them. My grocer has them on their own website, and I have still have been told numerous times that I can't use them!!
I usually do my shopping early in the morning when only one lane is open. I do feel bad when I hold up someone behind me. If I see somene that only has a couple of items, I'll let them go ahead before I start my checkout. If there is more than one lane open, I don't feel as bad, as that person could have gone to another lane, or to the express lane, which is usually open.
Ok, my rant is over, but I will continue to use coupons and plan my grocery shopping around them. Yesterday, I saved a total of $109.55 using coupons and my club card. That is 77%. How can I not use them with savings like that??
I guess I just need to tough my hide a bit more.
