I love sauerkraut but the boys (dh and ds!) do not. I'd like to make something with maybe potatoes and the kielbassa in the crock pot. Thanks!

It's not my favorite, but my kids really like this one using boxed scalloped potatoes. You just put the potatoes in the crockpot, and mix the cheese sauce mix from the box with a can of cream soup (it is supposed to be cream of mushroom, but I usually use cream of broccoli) and a soup can of water, and pour it over the potatoes. Then place the kielbasa on top (two inch pieces) and cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours. You can also add in peas during the last 10 minutes or so - I will do that if I only have cream of celery soup in the house.

Love the simple recipes. I just got bought some kielbasa and I wasn't sure how I was going to cook it!

Do you add water to cover the ingredients? This sounds like something we would like.

you don't drain the beans, that's all the liquid you need. It is a pretty tasty and very simple dish.

I like to saute onions in a little butter and throw them in the crock-pot with some red potatoes, two cans of mushrooms drained, and the polish sausage!
