How about THIS for a SERIOUS bummer? We were going to make these ribs tonight for our weekend guests. DH opens the package of rubs, but they were BAD (EWW!). So, we are trying to adjust the cooking time. We have the ribs in the crock pot on high for 2 hours & then will reduce the temp to med/low for the next few hours - I hope this works!

& Grrrrrr - means ANOTHER trip back to the store to return the rancid meat - YUCK YUCK YUCK!

these sound great! Does it matter if they are pork or beef ribs? I have a slab of beef ribs and no idea what to do with them.

I don't think so - I've only used it for Pork ribs, but I doubt it would make a diff. FTR, the times I posted above work too! 2 hours on high & 2ish hours on low - then the oven or the grill.

I'm telling you, you will NEVER go back to cooking them the old way.

Thanks for sharing. My DH will be excited when he sees this. He loves to cook using the crock pot.

I will have to get his barbeque chicken reciepe and post it later once he is home.
