I have often made a roast using coke but I have always been a pepsi lover & wondered if there was a recipe using pepsi instead of coke.

Thank You!!

Can someone explain what it is that the soda does to the meat? Tenderize? Add more flavor? I am just trying to figure out the appeal - we usually don't drink soda in my house (just not big fans of it, not that I ban it), but this recipe intrig ues me... TIA!

Just like beer , or any kind of broth, it adds flavor, and I believe it is an added tenderizer, as well. It is just whatever you prefer.....

I have NEVER tried to use any pop in any recipe. Just sounds so funky. But you know what, I am gonna do it. I have a pork roast in the freezer and I am gonna give it a try. What can it hurt??? I will for sure post my results after I do it.
What all do you serve with your roast when you cook it this way?? Is there enough gravy to make mashed potatoes to go with??
