I would make chili and send all the fixing with it. Shredded cheese, chopped onion, tortilla chips, and sour cream. I have also done hot dogs in the crockpot several times. I have a coworker who brought in a western omlet for the crockpot off of allrecipes that was very good.

I've got one of those crockpots that seal up for transport. Love it!

I make my own too. I have never bought the ones from Sam's but I think I will have to check them out.

But to answer your question. Yes you will need to precook them and get them almost done and then put them in the crock pot.

I love this stuff! Even my hubby, who doesn't like sauerkraut thought it was good!

1 (16 ounce) jar sauerkraut, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
2 cups shredded cooked corned beef
1/4 cup thousand island dressing

DIRECTIONS
In a slow cooker, combine the sauerkraut, cream cheese, Swiss cheese, corned beef and thousand island dressing. Cover, and cook on high for 45 minutes if you're in a hurry, low for longer if you're not, or just until hot and cheese is melted. Stir occasionally while cooking. Serve with cocktail rye or crackers.
