All of the meat we use is frozen. Usually when I bake chicken, I thaw it. When using it in the crockpot, DH just puts it in frozen. Do you think this is okay? He cooks it a little longer than called for.

I think it's fine. I have crockpot chicken recipes that actually call for frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

I almost always throw in frozen chicken (and any other meat for that matter) into the crock pot and have never had any problems. I do not usually cook it a whole lot longer. After cooking any meat for 6-8 hours, you know it is going to be cooked all the way thru like you want it.

That makes me feel better, ... i never really liked the idea of throwing it in frozen, but if there are recipes that call for it, then it should be fine. Woooo Hoooooo!! This makes life easier, Thanks!

When using my crock-pot, I always use frozen meat.

Even my roast that i put in the crock-pot, I brown first frozen in a skillet, then throw in the crock-pot.
