Help!!

Is it possible to make taco meat in the crock-pot??

We are hosting a lunch after church to celebrate dd's baptism. I thought tacos would be cheap, but want to have everything ready for when we come in from the service.

Can I make taco meat in the crock-pot? Or would it be too greasy?

Any recipes would be most appreciated - I do not want to be cooking meat with my guests here!

Thanks so much!!

I would make it up ahead of time and then put it on low or warm before leaving for church. I use my crock pot all the time to keep stuff warm that is already cooked. Good luck!

Thanks! I wondered how it would re-heat. Would I need to put water or anything in it to keep it from drying out??

Crock-pot virgin here. . .

I would make it ahead of time and make it.The day you need it just heat it up in the crockpot.

don't add water-- it will make it too soupy. I always make several pounds of taco meat and freeze in smaller portions and reheat in micro--
crock pots actually make moisture when heating up..
also it won't brown in the crockpot so you need ot do it on the stove...
