Do any of you ladies have any good recipes for the crockpot that takes 10 to 12 hours?

I can't do the 3-4 hour ones since I work during the day. I have brought my crockpot to work before and did it hear, but then people complain because they smell food and want to eat something. Grrr..

I think you need a crock pot with a time delay start.

I usually leave a roast in the slow cooker all day - on low of course.

I also have left a roast on low all day. Also, soup. Put it on before bed and wake up to split pea soup. Yummy!

what about a timer on the food like for lights but I question about the safety of the meat? ALso many things can be cooked from frozen also which would take longer.

Here's one the recipe says cook 8-10hrs on low, but I know that I have let it cook longer. I think beef just gets more tender. We always do mashed potatoes with this one, but I bet it's good with egg noodles too. The soup turns into a nice gravy to put over the potatoes.

2-3lb round steaks
1 (1 1/4 oz) envelopes dry onion soup mix
2 (10 1/2 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 8oz jar mushrooms (can omit if family doesn't like)
1/4 c water
Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low 8-10hrs or high for 5-6hrs.

My boys love this. It is very, very easy and pretty hardy.
