Pot Roast for your crock pot

Pot Roast
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
8 medium carrots cut into thirds or baby carrots
2 medium onions cut into wedges
1 beef chuck roast (3lbs) or deer roast
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
1. In crock pot, stir together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water until smooth. Add carrots & onions; season with salt & pepper and toss.
2. Sprinkle roast with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; place on top of veggies, and drizzle with Worcestershire sauce. Cover; cook on high 6 hours or low 10 hours.
Oven method: Preheat oven to 350. Use 5qt dish with lid; add 2 cups water. Cover and bake 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
