Hello Ladies! I just wanted to give a little heads up before the crop on a few things. I know we have a few new croppers joining our online crop this month so I wanted to start off by saying WELCOME!!! Thanks for joining us. I hope you get some quality crop time in and enjoy the challenges!

Please make sure you read the crop "rules" here Crop Participants- Read This!

PM me with any questions that you have or feel free to post them on the crop chit chat thread. This thread is for annoucements.. to let you know when games will be starting etc.

With that said.. I will start posting challenges tomorrow (Thursday Jan. 24th) between Noon and 1pm. If I can get online earlier than that... I'll try to post them asap. All times are CST.

I will be posting 10 challenges and numerous games. So PLEASE take your time and post QUALITY work! Remember, the QUEEN OF THE CROP will not be randomly drawn. I will be selecting the QOTC based on the ladies who complete all 10 challenges, actively participate in games (not all games but do participate) and those who actively comment on others work and in chit chat. You must be QUEEN of the crop to win it!

I believe thats all for now! Please let me know if you have any questions! Here are the ladies that have made donations and qualify for a RAK if they dont win a challenge! Thanks ladies!

Thanks for hosting Ember! I've already pulled my stuff out of the closet and can't wait to get started tomorrow!

I just wanted to give a little history on the theme of this crop. The theme is "competitive scrapbooking." Now, Im sure you've all been to a crop where you meet people you dont know and you want to show them your fabulous pages only to show them and notice them scanning your pages and mentally comparing them to their own. Basically judging your work to see if you are a better scrapbooker than them! I call this... competitive scrapbooking! LOL

Me, Catslittlebirds, and AmySooch were at a retreat together back in December and went to another room of the retreat to meet and greet our fellow retreaters. AS SOON as we walked in the door this one chick.. the first words out of her mouth were "Wanna see my pages? Theyre right there." Um... ok sure. lol Everyone in the room was like "Oh yes.. she's the best.. look at her pages!" We were like WOW.... back off sallies. lol

So we went back to our cabin and continued to cut jokes and make fun of them all night. Everything turned into competitive scrapbooking. "She's hiding the brads. -Thats competitive scrapbooking!" etc. We had so much fun laughing about it and thats when I decided to theme the crop around it! So... I'll let you in on all of our jokes with each challenge I post. I hope you have as much fun with it as we did! See yall tomorrow!!!

I have never been to a real crop and I only did part of 1 on here! I have a feeling I am in trouble!

I'm kind of one of those ppl. But I only compare to see how I can better my style; not to BE better than everyone else.

BTW, thanks for hosting Ember.

Hey, what about me? I gave you money.

I have become what I consider a competitive scrap booker over the past year I have envied Embers pages when I started and wished I could do what she did. It didn't take me long to catch on to using all of the fun embellishments and finding sketches to follow and now I feel the rush of competition when we have challenges and games and such. It is all friendly competition....all in good fun! I love it and it has made me a much better scrapper too!

LMAO!! It was very funny girls. I'm sure as the crop progresses all the memories will flood back for me. I hope you get a chuckle too!!!
