hey... cereal bars, cookies, etc are the easiest thing for snacks for my little one and there are so many to choose from you can find extremely healthy ones out there too.. here are a few we like

Super Cereal Bars:
1/2 cup butter
6 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups sweetened apple and cinnamon flavored
In a 12x7 inch glass baking dish melt butter in a microwave oven. Stir in the marshmallows and continue to cook, stirring frequently until melted. Mix in the cereal until evenly coated then flatten into the dish and let cool until set. Cut into squares and serve.
-----------

Cereal Yogurt Bars
2 cups POST Raisin Bran Cereal
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 (8 ounce) container BREYER'S Strawberry Lowfat Yogurt
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons flour

Mix cereal, 3/4 cup flour, sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press 1/2 of the mixture firmly into bottom of greased 8-inch square baking pan.
Mix yogurt, egg and 2 tablespoons flour in another small bowl. Spread over cereal mixture in pan; sprinkle with remaining cereal mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

CEREAL COOKIES
• 1/2 cup sugar*
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 1 egg
• 3 Tbls orange juice
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 1/2 - 2 cups of cereal (or cereal plus**)

* decrease sugar by 1/4 or 1/2 if using a heavily sugar-coated cereal.
** if using plain cereal (such as corn or bran flakes), you might want to add chopped pecans, walnuts, almonds, or raisins. Feel free to combine different cereals in one batch of cookies.

Cream together sugar and butter.
Beat in egg, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
Combine flour and baking powder.
Mix dry ingredients into the first mixture until well blended.
Stir in your cereal or cereal plus.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 11 minutes.
Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cookies.

Serving suggestion: Top baked cookie with a dollop of strawberry jam or peach preserves. Heat for 30 seconds in microwave. Yummy!
