most everyone has this recipe but if you don't it...it's a great fast easy frugal recipe

2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter (or creamy)
3 cups quick cooking oats

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla, salt, peanut butter and oats.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Allow cookies to cool for at least 1 hour.

store in airtight cont.

I buy these at one of our local grocery stores (whenever there happens to be some LEFT) and wondered about how I could make them myself! I absolutely LOVE them! Now I have the recipe! THANKS!!

This was my favorite thing to make as a young girl growing up. Thanks for the memories!

ya know it's funny how we forget about the classics...always trying to come up with new and exciting....I almost haven't listed some of these recipes - like this one thinking .."oh everyone has this" and I always end up being glad I did.I mean every kid should get to grow up with no bake cookies...

Didn't Lisa Avelar (gosh, I sure miss her!) tell us a long time ago they called these "cow patties" in TX?

Anyone have a recipe for them w/o chocolate in it? MIL buys them at Wal-Mart and they are FIL's faves, he just loves them, but doesn't care for the chocolate ones!
