I'm looking for a recipe for Monster cookies (oatmeal, m&m's, peanut butter). All the recipes I find are for HUGE, HUGE batches. I'm looking for just a standard recipe for a family. TIA!!

Thanks for posting these recipes! I've been looking for one for Monster Cookies. The ones my cousin used to make were chocolate though, and she won't give up the recipe!! Wonder how I can make them chocolate-y...add a little cocoa powder, I guess...

Anyone else addicted to the Monster Cookie Blizzards at Dairy Queen?? Can't WAIT to make my own and save some money!!

I got this one from Taste of Home...I have never tried it, and I don't know what makes it "chocolate" but here it is.

Chocolate Monster Cookies
2 cups butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
2cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups cornflakes
2 cups rolled oats
1 package (8 ounces) flaked coconut
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in cornflakes, oats and coconut.(It may be necessary to transfer to a larger bowl to stir in cornflakes, oats, and coconut.) Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Divide dough into six sections. On a piece of waxed, shape each section into a 7 in. x 1-1/2 in. roll. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Cut into 1/2-in. slices. Place 3 in. apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes. Yield: 7-1/2 dozen
If you don't want that many, do half the recipe. Also, if you don't want them chewy add only 4 cups of flo

You are awesome Mommy2mercedes. That sure was quick. I think I will make these Monday DSpouse is off. Is there something else I can use instead of corn syrup, we don't buy and we DON'T like to cook with it at all.
