Preheat the oven to 350
Line a jelly roll pan with foil (relase foil works best) and place saltine crackers in a single layer salted side up.

In a small sauce pan melt 1 stick of butter and add 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil and boil undisturbed for 3 min. Pour over the crackers and spread evenly. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. When you take it out pour a 12 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips on top. Let set until they melt and spread all over. Let it cool for an hour and then place in freezer or fridge to firm up the chocolate. Break into pieces and store in an air tight container. It tastes like toffee or a Heath Bar, Yum:D
