What is the most easy ways of making dirt cups? I need a recipe that is quick, easy and economical. List your recipes and suggestions b/c I need help...I want to make dirt cups for my girl's birthday beach party...any help/ ideas is deeply appreciated!!??!!

I'm not sure of the actual recipe, but we were just out to dinner at a place that had dirt cups for dessert on the kids menu. All it said was, chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo cookies (it looked they were on top of pudding) and gummy worms on top.

Here is my Dirt cup recipe. HTH


2 C cold milk
1 pkg choco instant pudding
1 tub (8oz) Cool Whip, Thawed
1 pkg (16 oz) choco sandwich cookies, crushed
8-10 plastic cups
Decos: gummy worms, frogs, candy flowers
Pour milk into a large bowl. Add pudding mix, Beat with a wire whisk until well blended, 1 - 2 minutes, let stand 5 minutes.
Stir in whipped toppong & half of crushed cookies
Place 1 tablespoon crushed cookies into cups. Fill cups about 3/4 full with pudding mixture. top with remaining cookies. Refridege 1 hour. Decorate

If you're doing a beach party, what about the vanilla sandwich cookies, so it looks more like sand?

I know someone who made this with vanilla pudding, creamcheese & coolwhip mixture, and crushed vanilla wafers to make it look like sand. It was sooo yummy. She also put it in a sand bucket to look "authentic". too cute
