I have made these for Thanksgiving and Christmas morning for the past several years and send them to all my neighbors on Christmas morning. They make the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had.

JUMBO Cinnamon Rolls
1 yellow or white cake mix
2 pkgs. yeast
5 cups flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tbs. cinnamon
cooking spray
softened(butter) enough to cover dough

In bowl sift together flour and cake. In another large bowl mix 2 1/2 c. warm water w/2 pkg. yeast disolve yeast. Then add flour mixture and mix with hands, till all mixed together. Grease a different bowl, set aside turn dough out onto floured counter and knead dough, put in bowl and let rise to double in size. (1hr.-1 1/2hr.) Punch down, then roll out onto floured surface to about 1/4in. thickness and spread butter on in even layer, sprinkle w/cinnamon and sugar. Roll up jelly roll style and slice put on cookie sheets and let rise to double in size. Bake for 12-15 min. in preheated 300*oven. This usually make about 4 cookie sheets full of rolls.(ALOT) For the glaze I just use 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 tbs. milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, mix all together and put over hot rolls.sometimes I double the glaze.

That sounds wonderful! I'll have to try it. I have the Top Secret recipe for Cinnabon rolls, but they don't like like the origninal to me, I'll bet these are much closer. Yum.

I am bumping this recipe up for myself, can I freeze cinnamon rolls? (I'm assuming so). What is the best way?

I freeze cinnamon rolls individually in a ziploc sandwich bag. I keep a can of frosting in the fridge. I usually microwave for about 20 - 30 sec. and then put some frosting on and then do for a little more to melt the frosting. My kids love cinnamon rolls, but I don't have time to bake them on school days. This solves that problem.
