sometimes when I make cupcakes I have a little leftover frosting(granted you can obviously just slather it on the cupcakes...)but to stretch it I sometimes mix it w/equal amount of peanut butter as a dip for pretzels if we have some in the house.Great for a sweet/salty snack!

My mother use to have us spread it on graham crackers. She would stack those up and dool them out as needed. They were a great treat.

I guess we don't make as much icing (or desserts!) as my mother did, ,my kids consider graham crackers and milk a supreme treat.
