1/2 c REAL butter,softened
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 Tbs vanilla
1 1/3 c flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine dry ingr-add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Drop by tsp-2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 12-15 min,til edges are golden brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
