I used to work at a restaurant years ago that was famous for its suicide cake...my whole family agrees this blows the doors off it.......
now...for me choc and almand extract is just a sinful combo...not into almand...you can sub w/vanilla or even 1/2 and 1/2 it.
This gets a little pricey for a kicked up box mix....but worth every cent.
1 devil's food cake mix
1 (3.9)instant chocolate pudding
2 c sour cream
1 c melted butter
5 eggs
2 tsp almond extract
2 c mini semisweet chocolate chips (you can use reg ones but the minis melt better and kinda disappear)
Preheat oven to 350.
Grease a 10 inch Bundt pan.
Mix cake mix and pudding mix. Make well in the center and add in sour cream, melted butter, eggs and almond extract.
Beat on low speed til blended.
Scrape bowl, and beat 4 min on med speed.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 min,then cool completely on a rack.
